Grade levels come in 3 different grades; AAA, AA, A grades. Grade AAA is the highest quality cuticle hair you can get. All the hair is the same length, tangle free, same direction, strongest hair on the market. XQ and BobbiBoss high quality hair is at this grade. Grade AA hair is still considered excellent quality and is used mostly with some of the brands we compare to. Grade AA hair has the same texture, tangle free, with about 90% of the quality of AAA grade. Grade A hair is the cheapest human hair on the market and is the hair you will find for 10.00. This hair is mixed hair not coming from one source. WE DO NOT SELL GRADE A HAIR!!!!

We recommend washing your hair at least once a week with preferably an alcohol free or very mild cleansing shampoo followed by a very good moisturizing conditioner.

Virgin hair is raw, unprocessed hair (often referred to as cuticle hair). It has never been chemically treated. No coloring, perms, or any other processing has been done to the hair and is100% natural. The cuticle of the hair is intact. The hair is extremely healthy and will look gorgeous wash after wash.

Remy hair is virgin hair that has been colored or chemically processed to make the hair textured. The cuticle is intact and running in the same direction (“unidirectional cuticle”) hence preventing tangling. Remy hair is simply beautiful and will not tangle or shed.

Non-remy hair is the most popular and commonly available form of hair. Non-remy hair is also referred to as ‘fallen hair’. The tips and roots of the hairs are all mixed up hence tangling is a problem with this kind of hair which explains why non-remy hair is inexpensive. Holleighwood Hair does not sell non-remy hair.

The weft is usually thicker with machine wefted hair than it is with hand-tied wefts. Hand tied wefts are thinner and usually more expensive and they required much care to avoid unraveling of the weft.

Single drawn remy hair is made up of hairs of all different lengths as it grows naturally on ones head. The cuticles are intact and single drawn remy hair looks very natural.

Double drawn remy hair has the hair carefully sorted such that the majority of the hairs are within 1 or 2” in length.

To do a complete hair weave, one will need 1.5 to 2 bags (150g to 200g) for hair lengths 10” to 14”. For 16” and up one may need 2 to 3 (200g to 250g) bags of hair.

Virgin hair can be colored but we do not recommend that you color hair yourself.
